This announcement comes in response to the current contract negotiations between Cigna and HCA Healthcare, the company that owns Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Cigna insurance customers were recently notified that Portsmouth Regional Hospital may no longer be in-network as of February 1, 2020.

“Our providers and office staff are closely monitoring the situation with Cigna,” said Caroline Scoones, MD, of Harbour Women’s Health. “We understand rising concerns and are dedicated to working closely with our patients and their insurance providers to ensure they are receiving the quality of care they deserve. It is important that our patients deliver their babies with providers they know and trust.”

Harbour Women’s Health reports patients who have high-risk pregnancies or who have already entered their third trimester may be able to continue receiving services from their original provider through delivery.
