Harbor Women’s Health is thrilled to announce thatDr. Sonja Nelsonwas selected as a Top Doctor for Obstetrics and Gynecology on the New Hampshire Seacoast for the second consecutive year.

Each year,New Hampshire MagazineandCastle Connollyseek nominations from licensed physicians for which doctor is the best in their field of practice. Nominations for Top Doctor include a wide range of specialties, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurology, Pediatrics and Surgical Care. This year, over 307 doctors within 54 specific fields who practice in New Hampshire were selected for the prestigious 2018 list.

A 20-year veteran in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Nelson has been a provider with Harbour Women’s health for four years. She completed her undergraduate degree and medical training at Tufts University and Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Nelson completed her post-doctoral training at the The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her career began in New York City where she collaborated with two Obstetricians that specialize in high-risk pregnancy. It was during this experience that Dr. Nelson came to enjoy caring for women throughout their unique circumstances. Over her 20 years of experiences, she has gained skills within reproductive endocrinology, high-risk OB patients, along with both major and minimally-invasive surgery.
